Maintenance Technician II, Nightshift

Overview

Maintenance Technician II, Night shift at Refresco.

Night shift: 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM (Continental/Block Schedule). Starting Base Pay = $32.00/Hour Plus $1.00/hour Shift Differential.

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
• Adhere to food quality and food safety as per standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Perform repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic).
• Perform maintenance on production supporting equipment (e.g., glycol system, RO system, compressed air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
• Use innovative thinking to troubleshoot equipment to minimize production downtime while ensuring food safety and product quality.
• Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders and record part numbers for inventory purposes.
• Communicate maintenance and production information to relieve shift and assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
• Ability to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Work without supervision.
• Good decision making/problem solving skills.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.

• Work Schedule:
  
  Weekdays; weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight may be required. Overtime as needed.
• Environment:
  Fast-paced production plant with moving parts; noise requires hearing protection; temperatures can be hot or cold. Environment is structured and supervised.
