Position Summary
Material Handler - Banding/1st Shift in Lakeland, FL at Novo Building Products.
Pay range: $15.75/hr - $16.25/hr
Schedule:
M-F 6:30am-3pm
- Ensure all orders are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
- Bands material, safely using equipment provided to secure materials for shipment.
- Labels banded carts ensuring accuracy of units, destination, handler, etc.
- Sustains a clean work area by sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, keeps dust collector clean, etc. to prepare for the next shift.
- Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- May be required to successfully pass PIT training while following all safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements.
- Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
- Use of proper PPE and company-approved tools while maintaining a safe work environment; ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
- Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
- Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.
- Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
- No travel requirements.
- Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.

Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment. - 10%:
