Security Officer - Flex Armed Facility in Lakeland, FL

Position Type: Flex

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed.
• Carry and operate issued firearms in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed, supporting a coordinated response to incidents.
• Monitor access points and check identification or credentials to help control entry to restricted areas.

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
