As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting thorough patrols within a corrections environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and contributing to a secure atmosphere for staff, visitors, and residents. Your presence will be highly visible, and you will interact with individuals throughout the location, providing exceptional communication and customer service. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain appropriate licensing and training.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies at the location, providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual or prohibited activities within the corrections environment.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and managing entry and exit points as required.
• Support emergency response activities by coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.

• Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• Must possess a valid Corrections Officer License.
• Must possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
