Job Title:
Valve and Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

Assist in disassembly, repair, and reassembly of valves, cylinders, actuators, pumps, and other equipment in the shop or at customer facilities.

Perform assigned service requests competently with limited supervision.

Determine repair requirements for mechanical components using technical drawings and measuring equipment.

Assist in loading and unloading tools and equipment for field repairs.

Set up and dismantle repair equipment on site and in the shop.

Test high-pressure safety relief valves with precision, following established procedures.

Overhaul and repair various types of isolation valves and actuators.

Assess skill levels related to pressure relief valves and some isolation valves.

Operate equipment such as Fork-Lift Trucks for loading/unloading and moving parts/valves.

Communicate and provide feedback to the lead valve technician, following directions and guidelines.

Drive vehicles to and from job sites.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

Physical Demands:

Lift objects weighing up to 44 lbs.
Navigate stairs, ladders, and scaffolding at heights of 10-30 feet or higher.

Travel Requirements:

Overnight travel may be required.
Willingness to work on-site at customer facilities.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of industry-related experience or training in valves, pumps, or actuators; or equivalent education and skills, including welding and machining abilities.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under company policies.
Strong mechanical aptitude and customer focus.
