Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Supervisor – New Construction to oversee residential plumbing operations across multiple job sites in the Lakeland, Florida area. This leadership role is responsible for managing field crews, ensuring quality installations, and maintaining compliance with schedules, safety standards, and Florida plumbing codes.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day‑to‑day plumbing operations at residential new construction job sites throughout Lakeland and Central Florida.
- Assign, lead, and support plumbing crews; track attendance, productivity, and quality of workmanship.
- Review and interpret blueprints, site plans, and job specifications; ensure accurate layout and pipe installation.
- Ensure all plumbing systems meet Florida Building Code (FBC – Plumbing), local jurisdiction requirements, and Bayonet quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, builders, inspectors, and other trades.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to field crews as needed.
- Order plumbing materials and manage inventory across multiple active job sites.
- Perform routine quality control inspections to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Lead and enforce jobsite safety practices, including safety meetings and compliance with OSHA and Bayonet safety policies.
- Mentor and train apprentices and journeymen to promote skill development and career advancement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production, inspections, material usage, labor hours, and incidents using mobile reporting tools.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of residential plumbing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Advanced knowledge of rough‑in, top‑out, and finish plumbing for single‑family and/or multi‑family new construction.
- Working knowledge of Florida Plumbing Code, permitting, and inspection processes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as mobile apps, email, and scheduling platforms.
- Florida Journeyman or Master Plumber License.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience supervising multiple subdivisions or large‑scale residential developments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs in active construction environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida’s heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions.
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, trenches, and elevated areas as required.
