We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to support multiple commercial customer sites within an assigned geographic territory. This role is ideal for an experienced, self-directed technician who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and values strong customer relationships.
The technician will be provided a company van, tools, and mobile technology and will travel to customer locations to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on light commercial HVAC systems and building infrastructure. In addition to HVAC work, this role utilizes cross-trade skills including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facilities maintenance. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of light commercial HVAC systems, including package units, split systems, boilers, and associated controls
- Inspect, test, and service compressors, motors, belts, pulleys, burners, heat exchangers, condensate systems, and safety controls
- Safely handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations, including brazing and un-sweating copper components
- Diagnose and repair airflow, ductwork, mechanical, and electrical system issues
- Conduct service inspections, asset inspections, and complete detailed service documentation using mobile technology
- Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixtures, drains, faucets, toilets) and limited electrical work as permitted by state regulations
- Complete basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance to maintain facilities in excellent condition
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Prepare service reports, quality inspection photos, estimates for additional work, and accurate time and expense documentation
- Adhere to all safety policies, attend required training, and participate in weekly safety meetings
- Support additional maintenance or service needs as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school education preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and general facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC systems
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
- State-approved HVAC license or two-year HVAC technical certification preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems
- Strong troubleshooting, time management, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple service requests
- Proficiency with mobile devices, tablets, and digital work order systems
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally
