Shelby Erectors is looking for experienced Reinforcing Ironworkers / Rodbusters to join our bridge and highway construction crews across Florida.

Your Role as a RodbusterAs a Reinforcing Ironworker / Rodbuster, you'll play a critical role in the construction of major bridge and highway projects. You'll work with reinforcing steel on footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other structural components--helping ensure every project is built strong, safe, and to specification.
- Place, tie, and secure reinforcing steel according to project plans and specifications.
- Install rebar for footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other structural components.
- Read and follow construction drawings, rebar plans, and layout instructions.
- Work closely with your foreman and crew to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools, equipment, and materials properly and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Identify field issues and work with your crew to find practical solutions.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
- Proven experience as a Reinforcing Ironworker, Rodbuster, or similar construction role.
- Experience with rebar installation; bridge and highway experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and rebar plans.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather and at heights.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude.
- Pride in craftsmanship and a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibility.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with minimal rework.
- Consistently meet quality and production expectations.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand plans, layouts, and project requirements.
- Be someone the crew and foreman can count on every day.
- Take initiative, solve problems in the field, and contribute to the success of the entire crew.
- Continue developing their skills and take advantage of opportunities to grow.
- $23.00 - $31.50 per hour
, based on experience - Higher pay available for NCCER-certified employees
