Overview
Ocean Spray is hiring for an Associate Brand Manager. We’re a farmer-owned co-op where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. This position offers flexibility: a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays and Fridays remote.
The Beverage Brand Marketing Team is comprised of passionate marketers who build demand for the simple, honest goodness of the cranberry, contributing to vibrant, healthy lives for our consumers and farmer families. We are seeking an energetic, intellectually curious marketer who can hit the ground running and deliver against our mission.
Position focus:
Support the Growth Channels for our Beverages business. We are a high-energy, entrepreneurial group driving new initiatives for the brand where people eat, drink, play, and work. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, this role assists in developing and executing short-term and long-term strategy, marketing and innovation objectives for the Food Service, Club, Value, and Drug channels.
- Serve as a key member of the Beverage Brand Marketing Team, supporting all aspects of business ownership including marketing communication strategy, packaging design, and product forecasting.
- Track and report weekly and monthly business performance; make data-driven recommendations derived from consumer insights.
- Support development of monthly and quarterly business updates, annual marketing plans, and semi-annual Sales materials.
- Develop, own, and monitor channel-specific forecasts as part of Ocean Spray’s monthly demand planning process.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams in channel-specific product launches and initiatives.
- Support development and execution of channel-specific marketing and shopper programs to drive demand.
- Monitor competitive/channel/customer activity and recommend actions to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Partner with Sales team and relevant third parties supporting the business.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
- 2-3+ years of work experience in CPG brand management or marketing/strategic management consultancy; channel marketing experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with IRI/Nielsen POS data; ability to analyze data and tell a clear story behind the insights.
- Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; comfortable being both analytical and creative.
- Self-starter with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Experience with business unit P&L ownership is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of marketing practices and principles; strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Travel approximately 10%.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience.
