The OpportunityThis Staff Accountant role is designed for someone who wants more than a narrow, transactional position. You will support core accounting functions across the general ledger, reconciliations, and month‑end close, while also handling essential AP and AR activities that keep the business running smoothly.
You will work closely with the Enterprise Controller and Senior Accountant, gaining visibility into financial reporting, audits, and how accounting supports operational and strategic decisions.
What You’ll Do- Perform day‑to‑day accounting activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger, ensuring transactions are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of the month‑end close process.
- Maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation that supports strong internal pinag.
- Apply electronic and credit card payments accurately to keep accounts current and reconcilable.
- Assist with audit and compliance requests by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Prepare internal reports and financial analyses to help leadership understand results and trends.
- Document accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and provide regular updates to the Enterprise Controller on progress and priorities.
- Meet established deadlines and quality expectations while balancing multiple priorities in a close‑driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least 1 year of experience in a GAAP‑based accounting role.
- Experience preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and working in the general ledger.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to understand the “why” behind the numbers.
- Ability to manage deadlines and priorities during month‑end close.
- Clear, professional communication skills and comfort asking questions.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- Interest in learning, growing, and taking on increasing responsibility over time.
- Experience supporting month‑end close.
- Exposure to audits or compliance activities.
- Experience in a growing or multi‑entity organization.
- Interest in process improvement, documentation, or internal controls.
