Assistant Banquet Manager/Hospitality at Brackett's Crossing Country Club.

Position & ScheduleFull‑Time, Exempt. Flexible schedule based on the nature of the business relevant to banquet, catering and designated member events. Includes days, weekends, evenings and holidays.
Primary Responsibilities- Hire, train, schedule and manage banquet service staff.
- Assist with ongoing service training programs for all banquet service staff.
- Attend weekly B.E.O. meetings and other pertinent meetings to ensure preparation, organization and execution of events.
- Schedule banquet service staff to forecast and provide the highest service standards, while maximizing profits.
- Adaptability/flexibility to respond to any event changes in a calm and professional manner.
- Serve as main point of contact for all banquet, catering and member event clients.
- Communicate with banquet service staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service, assign server stations and coordinate timing of courses.
- Serve as liaison between service staff and other staff members when needed.
- Set and deliver a positive example for member and guest relations.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure banquet service staff understand expectations and parameters.
- Respond to and manage any guest problems, incidents and/or complaints.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service standards.
- Assist the Brackett's Crossing Country Club team in developing lasting relationships with clients to retain business and increase growth.
- Prepare final invoice, review with client and process final payment.
- Complete Event Reconciliation Report with final details of all events.
- Review and complete Tip Distribution sheet for all banquet service staff.
- Ensure all closing duties by staff have been executed properly in their areas.
- Responsible for end‑of‑day processing and balancing of cash drawers, bag drops, tip‑out bag and safe.
- Turn off lights, lock up building and set alarm.
- Inspect banquet facility areas and equipment for sanitation, safety, preventive maintenance and other standards. Report any problems or needs immediately.
- Maintain cleaning schedule for banquet facilities and equipment.
- Inventory banquet supplies and equipment to meet required needs.
- Foster open communication with Sales and Catering Team to ensure continued success and improvement on all events.
- Continuously learn and implement policy changes and procedures pertaining to federal, state and local laws regarding food & alcoholic beverages.
