Brand

At Post Consumer Brands, we’ve spent generations showing up for families, starting with breakfast, the most important meal of the day. Our cereals have become a trusted part of daily routines, helping spark conversations, fuel busy mornings, and create everyday moments that bring families closer together, including their furry four‑legged family members, who have recently become a part of our story.

As families have evolved, so have we. What began at the breakfast table has expanded into snacks, peanut butter, and, more recently, pet food, because caring for a family means feeding every part of it. With the addition of several iconic pet brands, we’ve extended our purpose: to make high‑quality, accessible food for everyone under the same roof.

This phase is still new, and that’s what makes it exciting. As we continue to grow across grocery and pet, we’re looking for people who care about good food, thoughtful work, and the kind of impact that stretches from store shelves to kitchen tables, and food bowls, across the country.

Location Description

This position is remote.

Responsibilities

At Post Consumer Brands, we’re on a mission to make lives better by making delicious food accessible for all. As part of our growing Quality & Food Safety (QFS) team, you’ll lead sanitation strategy across our newly acquired 8th Avenue facilities — including nut butter and dry food processing plants — helping shape the future of food safety in environments.

This is a high‑visibility, multi‑site role for someone who’s ready to teach, lead, and elevate sanitation practices across the board.

What You’ll Do Sanitation Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and implement industry‑leading sanitation standards for dry cleaning operations (and wet cleaning where needed) across multiple sites within product categories.
  • Lead sanitation initiatives across multiple sites, partnering with Ops, QFS, Engineering, Procurement, and vendors.
  • Monitor key metrics (chemical usage, water usage, MSS completion, sanitation effectiveness) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct audits and deep dives to assess sanitation systems and identify opportunities.
  • Spearhead pest control strategy and vendor selection.
  • Guide integration of new facilities and acquisitions into PCB sanitation standards.
Sanitary Design & Risk Management
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are designed for effective cleaning and sanitation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to prioritize capital projects that improve sanitary design.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and FDA guidance, especially around low‑moisture ready‑to‑eat (RTE) products.
Operations Support & Coaching
  • Support and coach plant sanitation managers and supervisors — no direct reports, but strong dotted‑line influence.
  • Help build robust environmental monitoring programs and lead root cause analysis when issues arise.
  • Partner with Procurement to manage chemical and sanitation service vendors.
  • Travel to sites (~70%) to provide hands‑on support, training, and leadership. The role is remote; being centrally located, close to an airport, is helpful to get to the different locations.
Qualifications What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • 10–15 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in sanitation leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of dry sanitation protocols, allergen control, pest management, and sanitary design.
  • Familiarity with FDA, USDA, HACCP, HARPC, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience with CIP systems and sanitation chemical cost controls.
  • HACCP/PCQI certification preferred.
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • Be part of a new, innovative QFS leadership team with room to grow and shape the future.
  • Work on high‑impact programs with visibility across the organization.
  • Help ensure the safety of household staples millions rely on.
  • Enjoy upward mobility, autonomy, and a chance to build something meaningful.

The pay range for this position is $99,119 - $154,626 per year.
