Production Operator I – Stamping Department (1st Shift)

EssentialFunctions
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and sketches.
- Manufacture parts according to blueprints or Operator Inspection Instructions (OII).
- Inspect parts using tools such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, protractor, and document findings.
- Return pattern, check fixture, and documentation forms to the proper location after completion.
- Stack parts, clean machines, or perform other duties as assigned.
- Operate various stamping presses and other machines (milling, CNC, spot welders, turret, rivet machines, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Use software programs to enter time/payroll information, job information, and similar data.
- Complete the daily maintenance/safety checklist for equipment operated.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- High school graduation or be at least 18 years old.
- Pass math measurement/blueprint test with 85% or better.
- Recent mechanical and shop experience, including fundamental mechanical ability and average math skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, and related safety requirements.
- Understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. May lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment exposes employees to weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
CompensationHourly: $20.65 – $28.89.
