CNC Mill​/Lathe Machinist

This role requires a skilled CNC Machinist to handle daily setups and operation of CNC milling and CNC lathe machines in a dynamic job shop environment. The position involves machining a variety of short-run and custom parts made from mild steel and stainless steel, necessitating frequent changeovers and independent work.

• Interpret prints and travelers to guide machining operations.

• Perform full machine setups for CNC milling and lathe machines.

• Load and prove out programs efficiently.

• Set tooling and offsets accurately.

• Make in-process adjustments to ensure precision.

• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.

• Adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.

• Proficiency in CNC machining, including setup and operation.

• Experience with CNC lathe and CNC mill.

• Skill in programming, setup, offsets, and tool changes.

• Ability to work independently and with high attention to detail.

• Expertise in manual CNC operations, including Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, and manual mill.

• Competence in interpreting blueprints.

• Experience in a job shop environment is preferred.

• High attention to detail is essential.

Work in a small CNC shop with a total of 12 employees, where you'll wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of operations. The environment is a bit dirtier, reflecting the nature of the job.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKEVILLE, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
