Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Opens and closes store, starts up systems, handles cash, and ensures the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day.
- Completes product returns, voids, customer refunds, drops cash to the safe, and provides change as requested at cash registers.
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance; resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Assists and coaches team members to work with the warehouse and vendor ordering process, opens the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
- Registers all related sales on the assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assists manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and assists in reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty package).
- Evaluates and develops displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; completes resets and revisions.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts; maintains the accuracy of on‑hand quantities in basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensures the Outdate program is followed with team members; keeps prices up to date and displays proper signage to support accurate pricing of products.
- Assists with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary or as requested.
- Maintains the exterior and interior condition of the store, ensuring it is clean, neat, orderly, and appears professional; requests repairs as required.
- Separates food items (e.g., raw foods from pre‑cooked) and places products as specified by policies/procedures; rotates stock using first‑in, first‑out and restocks outs.
- Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Assists at the pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
- Performs bag checks for team members before leaving the store.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serves as a liaison between management and non‑management team members.
- Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
