This position supports F&B Department in the administration of the purchasing and other related projects. This includes the day to day operations of our company owned distribution system. In addition, this position will support Norms Accounting Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accurate Store Order entry 10 key
  • Follow-up on product shorts, quality issues and apply credits if necessary
  • Process AR and AP for distribution company (Select) and Norms Restaurants
  • Prepare reports on product usage, price lists, and inventory balance (weekly basis & period ending)
  • Maintain accurate inventories (Select & US Growers Cold Storage)
  • Place purchase orders with vendors at contract or negotiated prices. Verify accuracy of cost, quantities and product specs upon receipt; resolve discrepancies as they arise
  • Maintain minimum inventory levels and forecasting
  • Maintain open channels of communication written and verbal with vendors, stores (chefs, managers, service directors & others) and select drivers
  • Coordinate pick-ups with Select drivers
  • Maintain updated records, reports and files on vendors
  • Assist in development of training materials for LTOs and other related projects
  • Assist with any related clerical/administrative duties
  • Receive, manage and store all samples for cuttings
  • Pick and prepare Select items (stored at the office) for delivery
  • Receive and store Select items (stored at the office)
  • Keep office storeroom clean and organized
  • Required Skills:
  • 10 key by touch
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Typing 40-50 wpm
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs quickly
  • Excellent typing and keyboard skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to interact well with other departments, restaurants and vendors
  • Restaurant or food distribution experience a plus
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
