The PRA II in Record Completion analyzes patient record content to assign documentation deficiencies to the responsible physician, communicates with medical staff about record deficiencies, assists physicians in completing incomplete healthcare records, prepares daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports, ensures chart deficiency database integrity, and participates in departmental PI projects.
Required Qualifications- 3 years experience working with hospital medical records.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the department and across the Health System.
- Familiarity with alpha/numeric filing systems.
- Credentialed as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or AAIR.
- Working knowledge of Soft Med Chart Script and Chart Fact.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- PC literacy.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
