Your Role on the Team Position SummaryUnder the guidance of the Admitting Director, the Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations for the department including the PBX area. The Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, staff scheduling and staff coaching including progressive discipline. The Supervisor is accountable for the education of staff as it relates to new and/or revised processes and also for the appropriate training of all newly hired staff.
It is the duty of the Supervisor to maintain the Patient Registration Director informed of all department operations and opportunities.

Required Qualifications2 years Registration or Business Office experience
High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Supervisory or Management experience;
- Previous experience in Emergency Department Registration;
- Medical Terminology;
- Computer and Typing Skills;
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Hearing and Visual acuity;
Manual dexterity to perform keyboard functions;
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds;
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
