Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, EPIC experience, and at least one year of telemetry experience.

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in-hand at time of application
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Telemetry unit within a PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required
• Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams for emergency response
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care and management
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration with non-invasive airway management
• Use of isolation precautions and PPE
• Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Manage patients requiring IV therapy, blood product administration, and line care
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous UC employees must disclose prior employment and receive facility approval before assignment
• Minimum one-year break required for former staff returning as travelers
• Manager interview may or may not be conducted as part of the hiring process
