Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift position requiring a CA RN license, CPI Blue Card, and Epic experience.

• Active CA RN license in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required in-hand: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute (MAB or online CPI Blue not accepted)
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Skilled in pediatric emergency care, triage, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory support, neurological and psychiatric emergency management, and administration of emergency medications

• Work in a Non-Trauma Emergency Department at a Stroke Certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:30)
• May occasionally be required to work a mid shift (11-11, 1-1, or 3-3)
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute presentations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Responsible for triage, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and splint application among other ER duties
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previously employed staff must have been separated for at least one year to return as a traveler
• RTO requests must be confirmed with a screenshot at the time of application, with no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment and a maximum of 7 days preferred per 13-week contract
• Prior travel nursing experience is required for consideration
