American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic EMR experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details- Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Cerner charting system experience required
- Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Current certifications required in-hand: ACLS, BLS, and CPI
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- LTAC experience required
- Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Experience managing respiratory conditions including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry
- Experience with wound care and wound vac management
- Two supervisor references required at time of application
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric medical surgical patients
- Manage a wide range of conditions including gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, and cardiovascular cases
- Administer and monitor medications including heparin, insulin, and cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration
- Utilize isolation precautions and PPE as required
- Candidates must not have been previously employed by the facility within the last year to be eligible to return as a traveler
- RTO requests must be confirmed with a screenshot at time of application
- No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days preferred per 13-week contract
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
