Collins Cole Winn & Ulmer, PLLC (“CCWU”) is a premier local government law firm in Colorado. Formed in 2022, the team at CCWU has been working together for decades. We exclusively provide general and special counsel representation to Colorado’s special districts, municipalities, intergovernmental authorities, and a variety of other forms of local governments. - Secretarial support to include typing, drafting, formatting utilizing Microsoft Word Styles, proofread documents such as emails, letters, reports and memos putting them into final form for delivery to internal and external parties; copying, filing, faxing, and entering and maintaining data in client resource database (Caret, Net Docs, Excel, etc.)
- Create and update templates according to firm standards, utilizing Microsoft Word Styles.
- Assist with reception duties, including answering and directing phone calls, assisting with office appearance, safety, and organization; occasional processing of incoming/outgoing mail.
- Calendar scheduling, scheduling and setting up internal office meetings.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating firm social events, client receptions, and conference attendance.
- Purchase office supplies as directed by the Firm Administrator, including snacks, water, soda, and cleaning supplies for our office suite.
- Submit expense reports, keeping detailed records of charges and reimbursements, and obtaining/submitting all applicable receipts.
- File management, including electronic file storage and scanning of hard files to electronic files
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and technology skills, including document production, formatting, and styles.
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading of typed materials and word processing.
- Experience with Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, document management and client relationship management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment (e.g., via phone, web/video conference).
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, with a willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to the changes.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in taking initiative while asking for direction or clarification, and consulting others, with the ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation with integrity and client confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
