Salary: $44,000.00/yr – $50,000.00/yr (base pay range)
Responsibilities- Maintain budgets for retention and graduation
- Understand and advise students on academic policies, forms and standard operating procedures
- Proactive and reactive student outreach, including regular outreach to student cohort for retention and relationship building
- Focus on students not meeting institutional metrics by developing academic success plans
- Support transition and onboarding for new RMCAD students
- Recognize and praise exemplary students and milestone progress
- Connect with entire student population every semester, surpassing industry standards
- Reengage nonattendance students in a timely manner according to deadlines
- Provide comprehensive withdrawal counseling and reentry application
- Respond to faculty requests for student outreach (ANCHOR Flags)
- Work with the Office of the Registrar to understand students' schedules and manage accurate scheduling preferences in student files
- Utilize resources to forecast course availability trends and calculate estimated completion timelines based on credits completed and remaining
- Connect students with co‑curricular resources such as Student Learning Center, Student Accessibility Services, Career + Alumni Services, Student Life, and more
- Understand and communicate a base level of post‑secondary student financial concepts and programs
- Abide by FERPA regulations
- Report to the Colorado campus at least twice a week to attend on‑site staff and student meetings, trainings, and events; support the campus students and the Advising Team by staffing the Palette office and presenting in student orientations
- Written and oral comprehension and expression, deductive reasoning, and information ordering skills
- Quick and accurate data entry, including reporting and document management
- Customer and personal service experience – knowledge of principles and processes for providing high‑quality customer service and assessment of customer needs
- Clerical experience – knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, record management, stenography and transcription, form design, and office procedures
- Campus Vue/Nexus experience preferred, not required
• Bachelor’s Degree (Education).
• Two years of enrollment, admissions, or advising experience.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesPosition is non‑supervisory.
Working Environment & Conditions- Minimum of 2 days on campus per week
- Normal office environment with moderate noise, dust, fumes, vibrations and temperature changes about 80% of the time
- Frequent computer use up to eight hours per day
- Fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
- Attendance and punctuality required
- Mobility and physical requirements: walk, sit, stand, climb stairs; reach, stoop, kneel or crouch; lift up to 15 pounds
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to focus. Regularly required to talk or hear; often stand, walk, sit and use fingers to handle or feel.
