A Senior Industrial Hygienist at Foothills Environmental, a division of SET Environmental is responsible to:
- Be a leader in providing clients with the total quality solution, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Strong focus on combined client development, sales, and project execution/management
- This individual is responsible for the expansion, execution, and financial success of large and important projects within our Industrial Hygiene service line and development and coordination of junior level staff as they conduct project level tasks
- This position has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating industrial hygiene projects which have unique or controversial problems and an important effect on major company programs
- Provide technical review and complete reports; provide regulatory guidance regarding design, development, evaluation, and/or marketing of services; and promote all company policies and safety standards
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or related field
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant occupational safety and health/industrial hygiene, or other ecology/environmental experience
- Five (5) plus years of leadership and/or project management experience
- Strong experience performing and managing projects including industrial hygiene (IH) surveys & audits; water sampling, indoor air quality (IAQ) and noise assessments; asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) surveys, lead‑based paint (LBP) and mold surveys and investigations; asbestos abatement and fiber release assessments; environmental, health, and safety program development, EH&S/occupational safety training; and/or medical monitoring program oversight
- Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrate the ability to financially manage projects, develop clients, and generate sales
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness and maintain company safety programs and initiatives
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- 30‑Hour OSHA Construction and General Industry Safety Training
- Proficiency in business writing, office automation and communication software, technology, and tools. Specific programs include Microsoft Office 365 software suite
- Excellent organization and communication skills, writing skills, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
- Willing to travel up to 25%, including short duration (2‑6 days at a time) overnight trips
- Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record that meets company safety and insurance standards
- Ability to participate successfully in the Company’s drug and alcohol programs to meet client requirements
- Must pass a local, state and federal background check
- Ability to wear full‑face respirator and personal protective equipment
- 40‑Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER)(Preferred)
- Additional high‑level certifications such as CIH, CSP, CHMM (preferred)
- Current asbestos and/or lead‑based paint certifications (Preferred)
- Current methamphetamines consult certification (Preferred)
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training (Preferred)
