Job DescriptionThis position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled transportation professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to successfully deliver Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.
Muller Engineering Company is located in Lakewood, CO, where team members have the opportunity to collaborate in person through a hybrid work schedule. We welcome applicants from across the continental United States who are willing to relocate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design transportation facilities, including interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, and construction packages for a wide variety of transportation projects
- Support Project Managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and subconsultant coordination
- Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians on various design support tasks
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Lead design for multidisciplinary projects
- Perform field observation work when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- 6-10years of experience in the design of transportation facilities
Knowledge and experience with Micro Station/Open Roads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products
Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment to create designs supporting our clients’ overall project goals
Hydraulics and/or traffic experience is a plus
Required License or Certification:
- Active Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to transfer a license from another state within 6 months of hire
Salary range for this position is: $95,000/yr - $120,000/yr and is dependent on individual education, experience and qualifications
