Building Envelope Consultant – Martin/Martin, Inc
Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for an Architect or Engineer to join the Building Enclosure team in our Denver, Colorado office. This full‑time position will work with multiple project managers on a broad range of Building Enclosure project types, including developing building enclosure designs and forensic evaluation of existing enclosure systems. The role requires conducting forensic investigations, producing drawings, specifications, and reports.
Creativity and the ability to develop unique approaches to problems encountered during evaluation or design are desirable traits.
- Coordinate and perform investigations and designs with in‑house staff and clients.
- Communicate schedule and technical information to clients, other consultants, and contractors.
- Manage own work and that of others working on their projects.
- Develop and follow safety plans for specific project conditions.
- Follow project‐specific QA/QC plans.
- Assemble construction drawings.
- Write and edit specifications.
- Write technical reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
A typical work week can include field investigations, non‑destructive testing, hygrothermal analysis, report and repair document development, and construction administration services. Projects usually require a balance between in‑office design time and on‑site evaluation time. While most projects are located in the Rocky Mountain Region, occasional national travel may be required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Demonstrated creativity and technical ability consistent with essential duties.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an architect or engineer with the ability to become licensed within 2 years.
- Skills in investigation, analysis, design, coordination, modeling, and documentation.
- Knowledge of hygrothermal modeling techniques.
- Strong understanding of architectural and waterproofing systems for common building types.
- Ability to plan daily work and communicate effectively with others.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, primarily local to Denver and occasionally out‑of‑state.
- Ability to produce projects on or under the established project budget.
- Self‑motivated to create production enhancements for the betterment of the company.
- Positive attitude in completing difficult assignments.

- Proficiency in solving complex problems with limited direction.
