Structural Engineer – Aviation
We're looking for a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing Aviation Team in Lakewood, Colorado
. This is a rare opportunity to work on nationally recognized aviation projects—from international terminals to regional airports, aircraft hangars, flight training centers, and general aviation facilities. As a project manager and technical lead, you'll take ownership of high-impact projects with budgets ranging from $10K to $1M+, helping shape the infrastructure of airports across the country. This role is ideal for a well-rounded engineer who enjoys collaboration, takes pride in design excellence, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate structural design efforts in-house and with external consultants.
- Manage teams of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors throughout design and construction.
- Develop project work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable delivery.
- Attend project and client meetings and represent the company with professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of 9 years of progressive structural engineering experience.
- Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing structural projects from concept through construction.
- Demonstrated success in internal and external communication.
- Advanced project management skills, including schedule and budget oversight.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with the discretion to handle confidential information.
