Overview
Summary:
Participates in the collection and processing of patient specimens, appropriate performance of laboratory procedures including quality control and instrument maintenance, and the reporting of test results. May be required to perform laboratory testing within assigned and normally unassigned areas to ensure timely reporting of test results for the provider's use in their diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Participate in the collection and processing of patient specimens; perform laboratory procedures with appropriate quality control and instrument maintenance; report test results in a timely manner.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical laboratory preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and practices, laboratory instrumentation and testing methods, medical terminology, infection control measures, blood borne pathogen exposure controls, patient safety measures and a general understanding of CLIA regulations as they are applied to clinical laboratory practice.
- This job will be authorized
80.00 hours bi-weekly.
