Learning Management System Administrator – Colorado Department of Public Safety
Primary administrator for the department’s Learning Management System (LMS) and partner for employee engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Administer the CDPS LMS, ensuring reliable operation, user account management, course offering, and performance management reporting.
- Collaborate with the vendor support team to maintain system performance and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate LMS content development, including onboarding new on‑demand classes, rebranding, and retirement of courses.
- Support end‑users with login issues, navigation, and content use.
- Manage the CDPS Policy Acknowledgement system and maintain stakeholder dashboards.
- Lead LMS migration efforts, archiving data and providing user resources in collaboration with OpX and IT.
- Support training and event planning: create official function forms in Concur, prepare learning materials, order vendor supplies, track expenses, secure venues, and communicate proactively with participants.
- Produce online events and training, including technology management.
- Coordinate LMS data with other CDPS and state systems for accurate employee rostering and transfer data; run required reports.
- Assist the Communications Manager and Employee Engagement Team with timely, accurate information dissemination.
- Seven (7) years of professional experience with at least three (3) years in LMS operation, vendor negotiation, content creation, and technical support.
- OR Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of comparable experience.
- Expert knowledge of SABA or equivalent LMS (CDPS system).
- Strong communication, organization, and event coordination skills.
- Experience managing high‑volume LMS environments and cross‑departmental training programs.
- Familiarity with CDPS policies and internal communication platforms.
- Successful completion of a background investigation including polygraph, fingerprint, and reference checks.
- Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application.
