Position Overview

Our client is a Colorado-based law firm providing legal services to community associations (HOAs) and businesses throughout the state. The firm focuses on governance, covenant enforcement, collections, litigation, and risk prevention.

They are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their Litigation Practice Group. This role involves managing a varied litigation caseload, with a primary focus on insurance defense and community association-related matters, as well as real estate and business disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage district court matters and select county or administrative cases from intake through trial, settlement, or appeal
  • Conduct case evaluations, discovery, legal research, and drafting of pleadings and motions
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and risk assessment
  • Lead and participate in client meetings as required
  • Contribute to firm business development initiatives
Qualifications
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado
  • 7–10 years of litigation experience, preferably including district court trials and/or insurance defense
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from start to finish
Required Skills
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Practice Master, Net Documents, or similar legal software preferred
  • Portable book of business is a plus
