ResponsibilitiesThe Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. Duties include continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy; assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile technique; and delivering comprehensive post‑anesthesia care. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient and family needs in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Pay: $34/HR – $53/HR (based on experience).
