Department Supervisor

About the Role

As a Department Supervisor, you will support the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. You will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.

• Support the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
• Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
• Be aware of and take responsibility for your department's strengths and identify commercial opportunities, working with your Department Manager to act on them.
• Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team can actively promote and sell products to customers.
• Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transactions, returns and exchanges.
• Handle all admin routines for people and operations correctly.

• Keep up-to-date with fashion scene, trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers.
• Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge and other relevant information during customer interactions.

• Retain and share your knowledge and skills with the store team.
• Collaborate, plan and work with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team.
• Give and receive feedback to learn, develop and support each other.
• Communicate regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate and inspire—daily, weekly meetings, etc.
• Ensure all procedures, routines and legal requirements in all areas of the store are followed.

• Secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house including stockroom areas.
• Ensure high fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation and good garment care.
• Maintain good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the Area team.
• Ensure the full garment cycle—delivery to presentation—to fitting room routines meet internal standards and utilize all tools and technology provided.
• Follow best practice for in‑store OMNI services and in‑store tech services/tools.
• Maintain price signs in store and throughout the sales floor following global and local guidelines.
• Keep BOH areas updated and tidy for all colleagues (key information, health & safety).
• Be responsible for opening and closing the store daily.

Expected base salary range: $20.65 - $24.37 hourly.
