Job Summary /Objective

• Ensures the safety and security of client assets, properties, patrons, and employees.

Essential Functions

Report writing, foot patrols, vehicle patrols, maintaining a professional demeanor, fostering a strong partnership with the client and DMS. Maintain a high level of awareness, observe and report activities, handle crisis situations, de-escalate conflicts, manage use-of-force situations safely and judiciously.

Supervisory Responsibility

• No supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

• Inside and outside work in various weather conditions and unsafe working conditions such as construction zones. PPE provided when needed.

Physical Demands

• Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and lift up to 20 pounds. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and working in various environments (e.g., inclement weather, climbing stairs, standing/walking for extended periods).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Full-time position with variable hours, including evening, weekend, and holiday work. Flexibility is essential.

Travel

• Required travel up to an hour from the office. May require overnight travel within the local area.

Required

Education and Experience

Minimum age of 21. Pass a pre-employment drug screen. Complete DMS's 40-hour training and firearms courses. Pass an FBI or CBI background check (annually). Maintain an Armed Denver Merchant Guard License. Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to handle crises calmly and efficiently. Reliable transportation. Clean and wrinkle-free uniform (provided). Flexible schedule required.

Preferred Education & Experience

At least 1 year of armed security experience. 3+ years of unarmed security experience. Possess an Armed Denver Merchant Guard License. CPR certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Pass a physical and mental health screening. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Eligible for and willing to obtain an Armed Denver Merchant Guard License. Willing to obtain and maintain a valid CPR certification.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and must possess a valid driver’s license.
