Overview
Transmission Technician role at Emich Automotive. This position is based in Lakewood, Colorado. The right candidate will have a strong service technician background performing advanced diagnosis, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including transmission diagnosis and related systems.
Base pay range$30.00/hr - $65.00/hr
This is a commission-based pay plan with a biweekly pay schedule. Starting pay will depend on experience and certifications. The pay schedule is biweekly. - Compensation: $30-$65 per flat rate hour based on experience. Range $50,000-$190,000 per year based on performance commission-based salary
- Career path and growth
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
- Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide estimates of time required for repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to learn
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with teammates
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
