Maintenance Technician

Pay

Base pay range: $26.00/hr - $28.00/hr pay based on skills and experience. Direct hire. Start: ASAP.

1st shift Mon‑Fri (5:00 AM - 12:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM). Night and weekend availability required.

We are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians to lead the effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our line of services. Technicians use multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems. Technicians are provided a company van, tools, and equipment. They are based at their home address and access their daily route through a company‑provided iPad and iPhone.

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g., unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures as needed).
• Perform routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain Client facilities in like‑new condition (e.g., repair a drywall hole, prep the area, match paint).
• Perform minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g., repair/replace fixtures, switches, outlets; replace bulbs, ballasts, sockets).
• Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
• Fully utilize technology (tablet, smartphone) to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports and quality inspection images, submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
• Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Create a positive climate with the client, provide and generate customer satisfaction, and maintain timely communications with customer and internal support teams.
• Obtain and complete EFS required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings.
• Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed onsite at the customer.
• Complete other duties as assigned or required.

• HS diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care preferred.
• Two to five years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Past background in landscape, janitorial, or construction‑related services highly preferred.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety policies, and procedures; write routine reports and correspondence; and present information effectively in individual and small group settings.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate status via designated business processes.
• Ability to use and operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company safety policies at all times.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Daily local travel between properties.
