Compensation: $39.22 / hour (subject to law or union contract)
Job DescriptionPosition Overview
Provides direct supervision of vocational rehabilitation staff, onboarding and training new employees, monitoring and evaluating performance, implementing policies and procedures, reviewing casework, developing community partnerships, and coordinating outreach to promote OOD services.

Key Responsibilities- Evaluate staff performance by reviewing completed work assignments.
- Identify and ensure staff development and training needs are met.
- Prepare reports and compose related correspondence.
- Assess quality of services provided by vocational rehabilitation staff.
- Supervise casework in line with agency policies and procedures.
- Act as longitude liaison with community rehabilitation program providers.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented.
- Efficient time‑management skills.
- Critical thinker who can make independent decisions.
- Strong internal and external customer service skills.
Starting salary:
Step 1. Advances to next step after six months and annually thereafter. Cost‑of‑living increases apply each year. Longevity supplements begin after five years.
Hourly: $39.22 → $55.99 (Step 1–8)
Annual: $81,578.00 → $ (Step 1–8)
Location RequirementsRequired to work on site 5 days per week. Employees must live within reasonable distance to allow timely travel to the workplace. Daytime travel within Ohio may be required. Own transportation or valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications- Three years experience as a vocational rehabilitation counselor or program specialist with OOD.
- OR undergraduate core program in human services plus five years direct counseling experience.
- OR graduate core program in human services plus four years direct counseling experience.
- OR equivalent education and experience per minimum qualifications.
