About the Role

This position works closely with the Retail Business Bankers to attain team established goals. This support role will focus on providing:

  • Operational soundness by assisting with management of loan and deposit portfolios.
  • Support in activities conducive to generating revenue for the team and the bank.

Regularly participates in client and prospect research to help Retail Business Bankers Find, Grow and Keep new and existing client relationships. Maintains direct contact with external and internal clients and consistently provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions in alignment with the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards. Utilizes extensive knowledge of loan origination system, core, pricing tools, and other required systems to support the production team.

Accurately completes bank forms in a timely manner and demonstrates working knowledge of internal processes. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities—knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

Maintain a working knowledge of Bank’s written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation P, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Required. Minimum 3 years of banking experience or equivalent. Preferred. Proficient with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships. Advanced knowledge of cash management solutions and deposit solutions, including product, policies, procedures, practices and documentation.

Ability to train and present to small and large audiences. Strong knowledge of business banking processes, procedures, best practices and documentation. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize time.

The pay range for this role is $23.00 – $30.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
