Couples and Family Clinician - Cohen Veteran Network - Lakewood at Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care.
Role OverviewThe Therapist will provide evidence-based treatment to military-connected individuals, couples and families. The Therapist should be trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and skilled in measurement-based, time-limited treatment. The role includes assessment and treatment of relational challenges, mood disorders, PTSD and/or adjustment disorders. Proficiency in individual, couples, and/or family therapy with an emphasis on evidence-based care is required. Certification or demonstrated proficiency in one or more EBPs (PE, CBT, CPT) is required at hire or within one year of employment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for military-connected individuals, couples and/or families.
- Perform and document screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress/referral information.
- Conduct clinical intake assessments for military-connected individuals, couples and/or families as needed.
- Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy with a focus on evidence-based treatments.
- Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, directors, case management, and other disciplines to deliver optimal care.
- Achieve 60% productivity (26 hours) of billable services per full-time equivalent.
- Ph.D. or Psy.
D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program, with APA-accredited internship/residency, or LICSW, or LMHC, or LMFT licensure. - Minimum of three years of experience with adults, children, couples, and/or families.
- Knowledge of DSM diagnoses (DSM-IV/DSM-V).
- Certification or proficiency in one or more EBPs: PE, CBT, and CPT (required).
- Experience with military populations and/or Veterans preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service with a focus on the child, family, Veteran, or couple.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication.
- Professional, calm demeanor with veterans, families, staff, funders, and the public.
- Ability to present publicly and remain composed in difficult situations.
