The Steven
A. Cohen Military Family Clinic serves post-9/11 Veterans, Service Members and families across Washington State.
The therapist will join a mission-driven team serving the military community, providing evidence-based treatment to couples, families, and individuals. Key responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment to individuals, children, couples and families.
- Conduct client screening, psychosocial assessment, and progress documentation.
- Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, directors, case managers, and support staff.
- Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
- Provide telehealth services as required.
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Sound clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
- Priority-setting and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative treatment planning with clients.
- Passion for high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent. Licensure within 18 months acceptable.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, with completed residency.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with adults, children, couples, or families.
- Proficiency in DSM-IV/DSM-5 diagnoses and PTSD treatment.
- Certification in PE, CBT, or CPT (preferred).
- Experience with military populations or Veterans (strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (plus).
- Knowledge of clinical services and community resources.

The Therapist position offers flexible schedules, including hybrid remote/in-clinic options. Clinic hours: 8:30 am‑7 pm Monday‑Thursday; 8:30 am‑3 pm Friday. Some evenings and occasional weekends may be required.
