Licensed Practical Nurse

• $32-$40/hour

Position Summary:

The School-Based LPN provides one on one health services to a student, assisting with medical needs, chronic condition management, and emergency care while promoting a healthy school environment.

• Provide basic first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
• Ability to work 1:1 with a student that has intellectual disabilities and special needs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide direct nursing care to the assigned student based on their Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP) and physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed.
• Monitor and assess the student’s health status throughout the school day.
• Assist with mobility, feeding, toileting, and other daily living activities as required.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
• Educate students and staff on hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop care plans for students with medical needs.
• Support the Registered Nurse (RN) in managing the school health office and handling student health concerns.

• Completion of an Approved Practical Nursing Program
• Successful Completion of the NCLEX-PN Examination
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Washington.
