Overview

Non-CDL Shuttle Driver. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Lakewood, WA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Full-Time

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement

Starting pay and progression: $20.61 - $25.85 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale). Starting pay $20.61 with progression to $25.85 over 6 years.

Benefits
  • Vacation: up to 80 hours per year after one year of service.
  • Nine paid holidays after completion of six months probation.
  • Paid Sick Leave:
    One hour earned for each forty hours worked after 90 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety-Focused Operations:
    Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger Care:
    Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
  • Vehicle Vigilance:
    Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting maintenance issues, and maintaining cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to Protocols:
    Uphold company policies and procedures, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • 21 years or older
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. 100% of the job is performed outside; work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on sloped ground or slippery surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
