General Surgery Assignment in CO
We are seeking a General Surgeon for a short-term locum opportunity at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Colorado. This role offers flexibility and a quick credentialing process to ensure a smooth transition!
Highlights
- Flexible 14 on/14 off schedule
- Quick credentialing process
Practice Setting
- Join a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds
- 2 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room
- No ICU, only general care
Schedule
- Daytime clinic and surgery
- Nighttime call includes 24-hour coverage
- Average of 2-3 calls per shift; 1-2 emergent surgeries per month
Procedures and Cases
- Upper and Lower Endoscopy (screening & diagnostic), Appendectomy (laparoscopic & open), and Cholecystectomy (laparoscopic & open)
- Hernia Repair (inguinal, ventral, incisional) and Colon Resection
- Exploratory Laparotomy and other general surgery procedures
Requirements
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certification
- Colorado State License required
Travel Accommodations
- Travel and lodging arrangements are provided
- Facility located 2 hours from Pueblo, CO and 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs, CO
