CT & X-Ray Technologist Job Description

The CT & X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. This position demands independent judgment and technical expertise to ensure optimal radiography for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

• Conduct CT and X-Ray examinations.
• Produce radiographs by applying appropriate technical factors and evaluate images for proper exposure and positioning.
• Schedule examinations effectively.
• Instruct patients on exam preparations and set up and organize rooms for radiographic procedures.

The Imaging/Radiologic Technologist reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.

• Strong communication skills to interact with employees, physicians, visitors, patients, families, and administration.
• Ability to adapt to job situations involving diverse people and projects, requiring independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of patients and co-workers.
• Provide quality service recognition and improvement.

• Flexibility to work in continuously changing conditions.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment and ability to lift and move patients with or without assistance.
• Capable of maneuvering equipment weighing 20 pounds or more.
• Agility to frequently change positions including stooping, standing, and bending.
• Visual and hearing acuity required for effective communication with patients.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
