RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 40-hour work week with general hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday

• Occasional late days required to complete surgical case loads

• Rotational call schedule averaging 1-2 days per week and every other weekend or every 3rd weekend

• Must have experience in all three areas:
Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU

• Function as primary caregiver able to work in all three surgical service areas

• Handle surgical cases including General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and Orthopedics surgeries

• Work with 3 OR suites, 3 PACU beds, Pre-op area, and 1 anesthesia provider

• Conduct assessments, document care, provide emotional support, coordinate transfers, and recover patients

• Circulate cases and assist with processing instruments/equipment in central sterilizing

• Prepare patients for surgery and provide patient education

• Must maintain current Colorado RN licensure

• 3 years Pre-op/OR/PACU experience preferred

• ACLS certification required, CNOR preferred

• Scrub experience preferred

• Must adhere to principles of infection control and follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN

• Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations with good communication skills

• Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, heavy lifting, and potential exposure to blood and body fluids

This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical services department with three operating room suites, three PACU beds, and a dedicated pre-operative area. The facility provides a full range of surgical services including general surgery, OB/GYN procedures, ophthalmology including cataract surgery, and orthopedic procedures. The surgical department maintains high standards of patient care while following national healthcare guidelines and infection control protocols.
