Position: Project Health & Safety Lead
Newly created position for a Project Health & Safety Lead based in Felinfach, near Lampeter site, West Wales

Salary commensurate with experience plus excellent benefits
Fixed term contract for 2 years
Site based in Felinfach, Ceredigion in beautiful West Wales.

What you will be doing as Project Health & Safety Lead;
 
The HSL will report directly to the Head of Capital Projects and be a key member of the Project
Implementation team working alongside the Project Programme Manager, Senior Project engineer, and Project Coordinator.
The HSL will also work closely with the Project Design Team, the Process Technical team, and the Process Optimization team.
The HSL will work collaboratively with the factory departments including operations, engineering and technical.
Some projects extend to the Biomass Energy Park (VREL) and Waste Water Treatment Plant and a working relationship with the respective teams is also required.
The HSL will have a close working relationship with the other business H&S employees working at either site or central.  
About you, your skills and experience...
 
NEBOSH or equivalent.
5 years experience in industry working in H&S environment
Knowledge and understanding of all legislative requirements relating to occupational health & safety, through experience and qualification.
Detailed working knowledge of the latest versions of ISO
45001 management system standards and practical application in the workplace.
A solid knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations such as CDM.
You will also have proven experience supporting or leading health and safety within capital or construction projects, ideally covering construction, civils and plant installation activities, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and embed a positive safety culture.
On a personal level, you are proactive and confident in challenging unsafe behaviours, collaborative in how you work across teams and disciplines, and calm and pragmatic in high-risk or fast-paced environments.
This is a site based position, therefore you will live within a commutable distance of the factory in Felinfach.
