IT Systems Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Entry IT Specialist to join our growing team at our Felinfach Whey Processing Factory in West Wales. Are you a hands‑on IT professional looking to develop your talents while supporting critical site infrastructure and bridging IT and Operational Technology environments?

• Support IT operations and infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance and security.
• Assist with infrastructure lifecycle projects and local/global IT initiatives.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and licensing across systems.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures aligned with group standards.
• Create and maintain network topology, ensuring secure segmentation and segregation.

You’re a self‑starting IT professional with a proactive approach to problem solving and strong technical foundations including a bachelor’s degree in IT, CS or a related field or equivalent experience and 1-3 years of experience in IT system engineering or IT administration. You are comfortable collaborating with both local and global teams to maintain reliable and secure systems, and you bring a curious mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively while minimising operational disruption.

• Infrastructure and systems expertise with knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualisation (Hyper‑V/VMware).
• An understanding of LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, switches, routing, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experienced with renewing and refreshing IT hardware in a live environment and backup solutions including version control and recovery.
• An understanding of Operational Technology environments is desirable but not essential (PLC, MES, SCADA).
