Haystack Selection is recruiting on behalf of a leading Food Processing Manufacturer for an experienced Quality Manager. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving food safety, microbiological integrity and technical compliance across a complex, high-volume production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop the site Quality & Technical team.

* Oversee laboratory operations including microbiological and analytical testing.

* Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP and food safety management systems.

* Maintain FSSC 22000, FEMAS and other certification standards.

* Manage supplier quality assurance and raw material compliance.

* Lead root cause investigations and corrective action processes.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across product safety and quality.

* Produce accurate technical and quality reports aligned with group standards.

* Manage departmental budgets and cost control.

* Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and auditors.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Degree qualified in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology or similar.

* Solid Quality or Technical Management role within food manufacturing.

* Strong microbiology knowledge – ideally within dairy manufacturing environments.

* Advanced HACCP qualification (Level 4 desirable).

* Experience leading external audits (FSSC 22000, BRC, FEMAS etc.).

* Proven leadership and team development experience.

* Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.

* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
