Position: Accounts Assistant - 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Join Victrex’s Finance Shared Services team and play a key role in supporting accurate, compliant and efficient accounting activities across the business. This 12‑month fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact within a supportive and collaborative team. What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support both internal and external accounting activities, helping to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices and purchase orders in line with agreed service level agreements
  • Processing employee expenses in accordance with company policy
  • Processing customer receipts and completing associated reconciliations
  • Supporting weekly payment runs in line with internal controls and processes
  • Reconciling cash, purchase and receivables ledgers in line with the month‑end timetable
  • Maintaining clean ledgers by clearing aged items, investigating balances and reporting through KPIs
  • Supporting compliance with regional tax and other regulatory requirements as appropriate
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and able to work accurately to deadlines.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • The ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Excel
  • Experience of using finance or accounting systems
  • A methodical approach with good attention to detail
Qualifications
  • 5 GCSEs at grade 9–4 (A*–C), including Maths, or equivalent – essential
  • Accounting or bookkeeping skills, or equivalent experience – desirable
