Our client is a prominent, top-ten UK accountancy and business advisory firm with a substantial national footprint and a well-established reputation for serving SME clients across a broad range of sectors. They are now looking for an experienced Audit Senior Manager to join their Manchester office in a permanent, full-time capacity. This is a role for someone who is technically strong, commercially minded, and genuinely motivated to lead, develop, and grow, both personally and as part of a wider team.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage a varied portfolio of audit clients, including overseeing the preparation of accounts, corporation tax computations, and returns for limited companies
- Provide technically sound, practical guidance on GAAP compliance, VAT and tax regulations, UK legal requirements, and governance principles
- Contribute to workflow planning and support the effective day-to-day running of your section
- Identify and convert opportunities to bring new work and clients to the wider group
- Take responsibility for meeting revenue and profitability targets within your portfolio
- Cultivate strong, long-term client relationships built on trust and consistent delivery
- Support local partners with ad hoc work and strategic initiatives as they arise
- Play an active role in developing, coaching, and inspiring junior colleagues
- ACA, ACCA, CA or an equivalent professional qualification
- Solid, working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Proven experience managing and delivering audit engagements across a variety of industries
- A track record of coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of junior team members
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to advise clients clearly and confidently on complex matters
- Prior experience within a mid-tier or top-ten UK accountancy practice
- Existing business development experience or established client relationships
