Position
Come and join us as a Ward Clerk/Receptionist in Paediatric Assessment Unit and be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible person with excellent communication and administrative skills to work as part of the team.
Responsibilities- Perform an ambassadorial role, representing the Area “Front of House” service acting in a professional, courteous and customer-focused manner at all times.
- Answer telephone queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to the Department to appropriate locations.
- Ensure that up to date information is available regarding activity within all departments so that queries can be answered promptly and accurately.
- Communicate with a range of staff, users and visitors to the Trust / Department utilising a variety of communication methods including verbal, electronic and passing information in a format that is appropriate to the individual request.
- Data Entry.
- Utilisation of local or Trust case note tracking system.
- Organising incoming and outgoing post, referring enquires to appropriate person if necessary.
- Filing of reports and results.
- Covering ward clerking duties within other paediatric areas, namely ward 8 and Children’s Day Case.
Provide a professional and courteous “front of house” service for all staff and visitors to our Paediatric Assessment Unit, acting in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Respond to requests for information promptly and efficiently using a variety of communication methods, ensuring that Trust Customer Service standards are adhered to. Ensure information is accurate and meets Trust Standards regarding delivering information.
Qualifications& Experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible person with excellent communication and administrative skills. IT skills are necessary and knowledge of Harris Flex system would be beneficial, but training will be given. You will enhance our team to maintain the highest standards of record keeping in line with data protection. Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organisation.
